Christianity Today’s online presence had an interesting blurb today about a couple of archaeological finds in Jerusalem which support the accuracy of the Bible. One from the New Testament and one from the Old.
First, archaeologists digging in Jerusalem believe they’ve found the pool of Siloam mentioned in the Gospel of John, in the story about the blind man whom Jesus daubs with mud and the tells to go wash in the pool of Siloam. According to CT some experts on the Gospel of John had considered the story to be "a metaphor."
Second, at another dig in Jerusalem an archaeologist believes she’s found the the ruins of King David’s palace.
