Reading Time: < 1 minuteJesus taught that God wants to answer our prayers, but most Christians have been taught about prayer in such as way that, as Charles Finney put it, “Their prayers were just such as God had promised not to answer.” I want to change your picture of prayer by showing you that even after God says “Yes!” to our prayers we still won’t receive the answer if we fail to do our part. Video, lasts about 35 minutes.

Reading Time: 7 minutesMost people think about prayer like a kind of slot machine. You put your coin in, pull the handle, and hope for the best. Nothing you do can change the outcome and when your prayer isn’t answered it’s not a big surprise. But if you actually stop to look at what the Bible says about prayer you’ll be shocked to discover that the Bible talks about prayer like it’s a sure thing, a certainty, a guarantee. The Bible pictures prayer as something more like a garden. It’s a sure thing, everyone can have a garden, but it requires effort on our part. There are things we must do, conditions we must meet to receive the answer to our prayers. (Read the rest of this post on my blog here: http://goo.gl/D62Ru )
Reading Time: < 1 minuteMost people think that the “secret” to prayer is getting God to want to answer our prayers. But Jesus taught, the Bible teaches, that God’s “yes” to our prayer, is pretty much a given. God wants to answer our prayers, it’s his desire. My hope with this program is that you will listen to it before you pray, that faith for answered prayer will then come and that when you pray you’ll know that God has said “yes” to your prayer. This is a YouTube video that lasts about 36 minutes. You can watch it in HD if you have a good enough connection.
Reading Time: 7 minutesMost of us, kind of, have the idea that God’s willingness is the main obstacle to answered prayer. We think that if only God wanted to, He would answer. We think that if we can just figure out how to get God to want to, then we’ll have it made. We end up figuring that if we were good enough, or if God liked us enough, or our request was important enough or spiritual enough, then that would cause God to want to give us what we ask. So we try to figure out how to be good enough, or how to get God to like us enough, or how to make our request seem important or spiritual enough, so that God will want to grant our petition.
But, here’s the great secret of answered prayer…
