No Prayer is Too Small For God

Reading Time: < 1 minute

ParkingmeterLots of people have the idea that it’s somehow offensive to pray to God for little things like parking spaces. The unspoken assumption behind those sentiments is that there is only a limited amount of God’s power to go around so we’d better save it for important things. The Bible on the other hand teaches than we shouldn’t be anxious about anything but that in every situation we should make our requests known to God. When we do so, the Bible says, the peace of God, which passes understanding will guard our hearts and minds.
This peace that doesn’t make sense, however is only ours when

we’re praying in faith. When we believe God will answer our prayer.
That God will give us what we ask. Jesus taught that we could have
confidence in God answering our prayers but the religious world has
twisted his words to mean the exact opposite of what he said. Two good
examples of this are The Parable of The Unjust Judge and what is normally called The Parable of The Importunate Friend but should really be called The Parable of The Jerky Neighbor. This is the October 23 Sunday morning service. It lasts about 38 minutes.
Audio: MP3 about 35mb.     Here’s a smaller version about 18mb.
