This past Monday, Oct. 2, was my parents, Ed and Paula Marquez, 50th anniversary. Here’s a few pictures from 50 years. (Click on the photos to see a larger version.)

Here’s a shot from the early 60s.
My mom sporting what I guess must
be her Audrey Hepburn look. My dad
looks like a guy desperately in need of a green card.
We’re up to the mid 60s now
and my parents are obviously trying
to go incognito
probably related to
the presence of the scary looking child
they’re sitting with.
Here’s a shot from th early 70s.
We Marquez men have a gift for
marrying women who are much
more attractive than ourselves.
What can I say, it’s genetic.
(That little girl is apparently
still following us around.)
Here they are in the late 70s.
You can tell it’s the late 70s because
nobody’s wearing a leisure suit.

This one’s from ’82 a shot with their
third most favorite child.
Everybody’s still looking pretty good here…
but sometime in the late 80’s or early 90s
they must have contracted
some horrible
disease because they started aging rapidly
as this photo
from ’96 makes clear.
Thank God, I’m immune.
Here’s what they look like today.
Man! life goes by fast.
Happy Anniversary, mom and dad.
