I wanted to post something to mark the passing of our friend Debbie Graff. Debbie was with us when we first started Imperial Valley Christian Center. Later, when her husband became ill, she moved away from El Centro. He eventually died and Debbie and her daughter, Rachel, decided to attend Jerry Savelle’s Bible School in Crowley, Texas near Forth Worth. I kind of lost track of her after that but would hear from time to time that she had visited someone or someone had visited her. Now, as her friend Lupe Ruiz says, she has graduated to heaven.
If I had to pick one word to describe Debbie it would be joy. She was always smiling. She endured a great many hardships in the short time I knew her and yet the image that comes to mind when I think of her is of Debbie smiling.
She never gave up fighting to receive the things God had for her and her family. She fought a good fight, she kept the faith, and now the prize awaits her. Debbie Graff October 22, 1954 to June 25 2006.
I am in Europe at the moment and I just read that my very dear friend and sister in christ Debbie has passed.. I have been looking for her for months..We met in El Centro Ca.. I had broken my neck and it was debbie who God brought into my life… If anyone knows how to get in touch with rachel or tommy .. or anyone even Lupe can you please email me.. Ellen
